Our Story

What Does "Noble Bereans" Mean?

“Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.”

Acts 17:11 (NIV)

The Bereans of the ancient city of Berea were commended by the Apostle Paul for something profoundly simple yet rare: they did not merely accept what they were told. Instead, they received the Word of God with eagerness and then diligently searched the Scriptures themselves to verify its truth.

This is the spirit in which Noble Bereans Prayer Centre was founded. We are a community that honours the Scriptures above all human opinion — a place where believers are encouraged to come with open hearts, search the Word of God, and be transformed by truth.

“Noble” speaks of character — the quality of those who pursue truth with integrity, humility, and hunger. “Bereans” speaks of method — the practice of testing all things against Scripture, holding fast to what is good.

Together, these words describe the people we aspire to be and the community we are building in the hills of Kiutine.
